Timetable for Summer Swimming

Monday 3rd July – Friday 11th Aug

I am pleased to say we are able to offer summer swimming this year as follows

Monday’s
6.30pm -7.30 pm Main Pool session 1
7.30pm – 9pm. Main Pool session 2 (no land training)

6.45pm – 7.25pm. Boom Pool 1
7.25pm – 8.10pm. Boom Pool 2 and 3

Friday’s
6pm – 7pm. Main Pool Session 1
7pm – 9pm. Main Pool Session 2

6.30pm – 7.10pm. Boom Pool 1
7.10pm – 7.50pm. Boom Pool 2 and 3

These extra sessions are not included in the monthly fees so are offered to you at £2 per session pay as you go. Please feel free to come as often as you can manage over the summer holidays

Unfortunately we do not have enough coaches to offer Teaching Pool classes over the summer.

A massive well done to the Kingston mini-league team. 1st place in the mini-league B final down at the Citadel in Ayr after some very strong performances across all the disciplines.

The team have excelled this season – so well done to all the swimmers plus a big thank you to all the volunters parents and especially the coaching team who have really helped the swimmers improve this season.

Good luck for the 2018 season!

Kingston Club News – Mini-Leaugue Final

Saturday 10th June 2017 at the Citadel Leisure Centre, South Harbour Street, Ayr

Dear Kingston ASC Member,

Kingston ASC has made it to the “B” Finals of the 2017 Mini League!

The finals take place on Saturday 10th June 2017 at the Citadel Leisure Centre, South Harbour Street, Ayr KA7 1JB at 11:00am, with the warm up at 10:30am.

The competition is open to swimmers aged 8, 9, 10 and 11; age as on 30 June 2017. Swimmers under 8 years old can also be invited at the discretion of the Coaching staff.

To enable us to make team selection, we ask you to register your interest if you are available and would like to participate, by completing the questionnaire below by Friday 2nd June. It is important you complete the online questionnaire even if you register/confirm your availability at the front desk. Hannah or a Team Manager will contact you to inform you if you have been selected for the team.

There are no spare lane swims in the finals therefore your child may not be selected, however they are welcome to come along and cheer on the team.

We encourage the swimmers to travel as a team on the team bus. Please indicate on the registration if you will be coming on the bus.

Yet another milestone in the season ; the Club Gala has been achieved with great success.

Many PBs are clocked and first time swims done. Well done to the Kingston swimmers!

It’s a busy time of year for the club – to that end please find below a list of things coming up soon with some action points for parents;

23/4/17.  Time trial thus Sunday 10am – 11.30
Boom pool 3 and main pool only – Time keepers needed.

5/5/17. Kingston Club Gala night.
Boom pool and main pool swimmers please get letter from front desk tonight to take part.
Teaching Pool will also be involved

14/5/17. Mini league round 3

Mini League Updates – Round 3 Sign-up

Round Three of the 2017 Mini League will take place on Sunday 14th May 2017 at Castlemilk Swimming Pool 12:00pm-2:30pm and is being hosted by City of Glasgow.

We have not yet been informed whether we shall have any spare lane races.

Here are the times from the St Valentine’s Meet on the 12th March and times from the recent Mini League Round 2 in Alexandria.

For the Mini League the final scores were ;

1st: M+B (195 points)
2nd: Kingston (153 points)
3rd: West Dumbarton (97 points)
4th: Dumfries (51 points)

Kingston swimmers achieved 23 PBs out of 39 swims excluding the relays, and we won 11 events overall including 3 of the relays – excellent result!

Saturday 18th March 2017 at Vale of Leven Pool, Dumbarton

Round Two of the 2017 Mini League will take place on Saturday 18th March 2017 at Vale of Leven Pool, Dumbarton 1.30-3.45pm.

The team bus will leave Castlemilk Pool at 12pm and return at 5.15pm. All children are encouraged to travel on the team bus. Parents can also travel if we have space at a cost of £2 per head.
