the Kingston results from WD SAGs on 27/28 October, for swimmers age 14 and upwards
Clyde Coast Winter Championship – team event at the Citadel, Ayr on 6 Oct 2018.
City of Glasgow were overall winners, Kingston came 7th out of 11 clubs, ahead of the following clubs, probably Kingstons best result ever in this event.

200m Time Trials – MP2 swimmers – Tollcross 50m pool
Sunday 11 November 11am – 1pm
Meet at Tollcross entrance at 1030.
Swimmers to meet at entrance to pool at 1030 am. Bring spare towel, refillable water bottle and T-shirt to wear poolside.
Please note swimmers MAY NOT swim in the small pool at Tollcross between Time Trial events as this is reserved for City of Glasgow swimming lessons.
Parents who are not volunteering on the day can sit in the spectator gallery at no cost.

The meet to start at 12.30pm.
A 30 minute break will take place after event 24 at approximately 2/2.30pm
Refreshments will be served in the crèche room.
Coaches can use this time as a warm-up but all swimmers must be supervised at all times.
Please see below confirmed swims and scratches for this meet. It was heavily oversubscribed so the organisers have asked if anyone wants to withdraw from any swims please let me know asap so they can fill in from the reserve list.
Its an Open meet so swimmers will swim in order of entry time regardless of age but medals are awarded in age group categories (I think!)
SCR – scratch means definitely not accepted to swim. ALT means a reserve – will get a swim if someone else withdraws.
A couple of swimmers have no accepted swims – dont be put off, this is a very competitive meet especially for the older swimmers.

Great weekend for Kingston swimmers at the West District Sprint and Relay Championships.
Congratulations to all Kingston swimmers for some great swims, lots of PBS and lots of team spirit! Silver medals to the 11/12 girls medley relay(Rebekah Cent, Amy MacLeod, Talia Blackley and Kara Blackley) and Max Pelosi for 11/12 boys breaststroke, bronze for Guy Pelosi and Amy MacLeod also for 11/12 breaststroke. Max got another bronze for 100 IM.

The swims for Kingston swimmers for this weekend’s West District Championship at Tollcross are now available;
Last full session for all pools and squads is Friday 29th June
Teaching pool – off for 6 weeks. Lessons will recommence on Friday 17th Aug
Boom pool – off for 6 weeks. Lessons will recommence on Sunday 12th Aug
Main Pool off from Sunday 1st July til Sunday 15th July inclusive
From 16th July main pool swimmers can swim at normal times on Monday and Fridays only. No weds or sun sessions over summer.
These Monday and Friday nights will be £2 pay as you swim as they are not included in your monthly fees.
Normal sessions resume from Sunday 12th August

Congratulations to our mini-league team for coming a very creditable 2nd place in the B final in Ayr on Saturday.
The team performed excellently – and the crowd contributed to what was a great atmosphere for competitive swimming.
A big thanks once again to all the coaches, team managers and officials for their hard work in delivering another succesful season of mini-league for our younger swimmers.
